In a press release, Ubisoft announced that their upcoming title, The Division, would be released in 2015 in order to accommodate for development time. Initially, the game was geared towards the new generation of consoles, but after the PC community gathered considerable support, the developers at Ubisoft had decided that they would be making a PC version. A tip from an anonymous insider had stated that the engine for the game is nearly complete, but that the development story-wise and content-wise had barely been started. Ubisoft included in the release that they would be showing more content from the game at E3 this year, and would give an update on its progress. For now, check out the trailer below...
All I gotta say is DAMN. I'm excited to see what Ubisoft has up their sleeve for this one, especially since Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was easily the best AC out of them all. This, plus the upcoming release of Watch_Dogs is going to make for a very good road map for Ubisoft. The Division, from what it sounds like, is an MMOFPS kind of deal, obviously I'm not too clear on it myself, but we'll see what they plan for it come E3. If you haven't seen the gameplay demo, I would strongly suggest watching it, it's absolutely beautiful.
When the world ends, it's always best to keep your head on a swivel...
Oh and here's a nice Game Play trailer to check out...
