Instead of waiting for their own press event, Ubisoft took a moment of Microsoft's time to show off Tom Clancy's The Division 2, with gameplay. While a leak has previously established that this game was coming, this is the first we see of it, and it looks pretty good so far.

Taking the inverse from the winter landscape of Manhatten in the first game, The Division 2 is set in the humid and hot land of Washington D.C. Beginning with a small cinematic trailer, the video transitions to their primary focus: gameplay. Here we see how operatives can accept missions, work together to complete them, and the tragic world they have to navigate and fight against to make it happen.

The first Division game has a rocky start. But as it updated, it grew into a fully-fledged shooter RPG worth anyone's time. Now Ubisoft is taking everything they've learned from that and they're applying it to a sequel. If this is so, we can expect quite a worthwhile game.

The Division 2 will be released on March 15, 2019, on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The first Division game will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass starting today.
