The Rainbow Six team is yet again pulling more players into its player base with another fun promotion. For anyone who has tried to get their friends to play Rainbow Six Siege but just can't get them to fork over the big bucks, it will be free-to-play from February 15 to February 20. With a community of 25 million currently playing in its third year there hasn't been a more exciting time to join the fun. There are big things coming this year as well; a lot of hype is being produced from the studio to get fans ready for the Year 3 content. The best part of this promotion is that the progress you make during the free trial does carry over if the game is purchased afterward. You won't have to worry about unlocking some of those more expensive operators a second time.

Year 3 content is coming in hot with the first of the updates coming March 6. With the addition of two new operators that are specialized in bio-hazard prevention; you will also have the availability to play the game's new co-op mode called Outbreak. As far as the rumors go, it sounds a bit like a Call of Duty Nazi Zombies type of game, and if I can take some of my favorite operators into a Nazi Zombies world, that would be more than enough to keep me happy. More official information on the new game type will be announced during the Six Invitational finals held February 16 - 18. For anyone who wants to tune in on the excitement and see these new announcements, you can watch the invitational on the official Twitch page here.
