Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands adds PvP Later This Year

When Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands hit store shelves earlier this year, I don't think there was really that much excitement or hype for the title. Ubisoft pumps out sandbox games like Nintendo pumps out platforms, the difference is that Nintendo does it well, while Ubisoft does it okay at the best of times. Unfortunately, the general consensus among journalists is that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands was not the best of times.

That consensus hasn't changed, but Ubisoft, still looking to pump some value into their game, has announced that they're going to release a PvP mode for the game, absolutely free, called Ghost War. And it even comes with it's own trailer!

Take a closer look at Ghost War, the upcoming free PVP update for Ghost Recon Wildlands, a thrilling 4 vs 4 team deathmatch mode that will put your tactical skills to the test. Fight on large maps throughout the Wildlands and adapt to terrain and changing weather conditions. Choose between 6 classes, each of them having a different play style and load out, and assemble a team ready to handle any situations. Coming as a free update this fall.

Sounds pretty dope. We'll know for sure if it's actaully dope, though, when the open beta launches this summer.
