To Celebrate 30th Anniversary, Naughty Dog Releases Relic

I have not known that 2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the Uncharted and Jak & Daxter creators Naughty Dog. Worse, I have not known that Naughty Dog is even 30 years old (truth be told, the name has not always been Naughty Dog, but instead Jam Software until 1989) . I have always believed that they have existed since the 90s, not earlier. Nevertheless, Naughty Dog has turned 30 years old, and to celebrate the occasion, the studio has released, on their website, a small trinket to purchase. Recall the Precursor Orbs that have been scattered throughout each Jak & Daxter game? Well, now you can have one of your very own!

1,000 of these little gems will be available for pre-order. Each replica, for a total of $120, is about 10" tall and 5" wide. The orb also rests on top of a stone base, which features the Naughty Dog logo with the depiction, "30 Years." Nothing exists on the backside, so those who desire simplistic exhibition can turn the object around.

The only semi-unfortunate news to this is that you will charged immediately upon pre-purchase, but if, for any reason, you cancel, you will receive the full refund. The actual item will not be released until at least March of 2015. So if you're a major fan of Naughty Dog and want to celebrate this anniversary with them, or if you want to buy one of these limited items and sell them on eBay for a good profit, be sure to secure one these as soon as possible!
