Also, a little too far into the Uncanny Valley

I mentioned about two months back that Platinum Games, the developer behind Bayonetta, Metal Gear Revengence, and that one Legend of Korra game, is making a new, apparently gritty Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3. Well, that was pretty much all I said on the matter, but since then, countless screenshots, bits of information, and even a trailer leaked, which proved that Platinum is either very lax with security or simply didn’t care enough to try to hide things any longer. Still, despite the plethora of proof that the game existed, it’s only today that Platinum has decided to officially announce the latest and hopefully greatest (although that wouldn’t take much) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game, Mutants Take Manhattan.

Check out the trailer. Or don’t, it’s a free country.

Battle alongside your brothers through the sewers, subways, and streets of NYC to take down Shredder and Krang's evil organization, Foot by Foot. Unleash custom combat skills and powerful team combos to save Manhattan from the overwhelming dark forces growing in the shadows.

Other than this video, the description, and a bare bones website, Platinum Games doesn’t have much else to share about this project, but as is the tradition for this particular game, NeoGaf once again saves the day, and users have discovered that apparently, the game will be penned by the writer of the original comics, Tom Waltz, and in addition to having old villains like Bebop and Shredder, it’ll also have a new antagonist created specifically for this game. So. That’s neat, if you’re into that kind of thing.
