Titanfall 2 will not receive any discount or early access on PC or Xbox One from EA subscription services. Respawn didn't give a reason why, but did say that they may join the EA and Origin Access at some point after 2016. Since most EA titles are developed by EA, it's likely that Respawn and EA couldn't reach an agreeable compromise for how the EA and Origin Access would work for the title. However, it is odd that Titanfall 1 was able to strike a deal and join EA Access. I'm not exactly sure why they wouldn't have Titanfall 2 be a part of the program as well.
This really screws the Access members, seeing as how they won't be getting the game early at all or with any discount. The Titanfall 2 technical test also had some pretty low ratings across the board, so it's extremely strange that they wouldn't make a deal. Respawn seriously might have shot themselves in the foot with Titanfall 2, and it seems like they aren't willing to make a better position for themselves. With all of the negative changes that were made to this title from the first one, you would think that Respawn would be doing anything they could to keep the hype alive. At this point, hype has died down significantly for the game and many people will probably be purchasing Battlefield 1 and skip over Titanfall 2 completely.
