Timesplitters Is Making A Comeback

Hopefully not as a battle royale.

It has been a while since the goofy time traveling FPS has graced our screens and consoles but according to Koch Media we might not have to wait much longer. Koch Media, publishers of games like Saints Row IV and Dead Island, just purchased the license for the popular franchise Timesplitters and plan to do big things with it.

Koch Media has a long history of buying old franchises and freshening them up for the modern gaming generation so this isn't too much of a surprise that they would choose such an iconic FPS like Timesplitters as their next project. What we don't know is whether or not they will be just refining the old gem for this generation or creating a whole new chapter in the timeline.

In the early 2000's Free Radical Design was working on what was supposed to be Timesplitters 4. Although this game would be dated by today's standards, Koch Media now owns the right to all of that intellectual property and could use that as ground work for their version of Timesplitters. No release date or even a release year has been announced but stay posted, we won't miss this for the world.
