Out of the cracks has risen Mane6, the game development group best known for their 2D fighting game, Fighting is Magic. Inspired by, and based off of the Hasbro TV show, My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. the group eventually received a C&D from Hasbro themselves, prompting them to close the project. Now they've returned with what is definitely not a My Little Pony fighting game called Them's Fightin' Herds.

The resurgence is thanks to an IndieGoGo campaign that raised $600,000 towards the development of an original IP. The popularity of the new game got so far as to interest the MLP show's producer, Lauren Faust, to contact the dev team offering to provide original characters.

The game will launch with 6 different quadrupedal combatants. More characters are promised post-launch.

Truly a passion project that won't quit, Thems Fightin Herds will be available for Windows PC on February 22.
