Thick Air Gives Us Sci-Fi Racing

And the story is kinda heartbreaking.

A lot of racing games have laughable stories and plots. That's assuming they have any at all. More often than not, it's simply, "here is car, speed drive." Developer People Gotta Play intend to change that with Thick Air. This upcoming racing game features a sci-fi setting and an eerily haunting storyline.

The VR mode may cause shocking amounts of motion sickness.

The world of Thick Air is set after the mass human extinction. All that remains are the sentient machines we left behind. And all they know to do is keep on trucking. That includes a series of flying machines who were built and designed to race each other. Even though no one is around to watch them, they continue racing constantly into eternity. If that's not enough backstory to get you interested in a racing game, then you're probably dead inside.
