Blizzard is celebrating 12 years of being the #1 MMORPG on the planet this month, and as they traditionally do, they're giving away free swag to any player who logs into the game between now and November 30th. In year's past you've gotten outfits, weapon skins, and memes, this year you're getting a fairly humble reward: 200 Timewarped badges and a letter directing you to either go to Stormwind or Orgrimmar to begin a quest chain.

Now, the 200 Timewarped badges can be used, to get an hour-long buff that increases reputation and experience gained from kills by 12%, but that's kind of a useless function.  Rather, you can trade these badges for prizes during the quest, including the Corgi pup pet. Don't have enough badges? No worries: by answering the World of Warcraft themed trivia in the daily quest, you'll get more badges to trade for a plethora of prizes.

Not the most exciting anniversary celebration they've ever done, but I'll never turn my nose up at free stuff. Besides, everyone likes Corgis. Literally everyone. And if I'm wrong about that, I don't want to know.

Let me live in a happy place dammit.
