Apparently Blood and Wine streams in assets differently from the rest of the game. This will definitely make a difference on PC, which means that more power can be pushed graphically. It's important to note that the new changes in graphics will not applie to previous locations.
According to Gamerant:
"Digital Foundry put the PC version of Blood and Wine through its paces, but theres reason to believe that the console versions of the game will receive a similarly impressive graphical boost. In fact, the outlets report states that the expansions performance on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be its 'real test.'
This refers to a new method of loading textures in groups, which should cut down on the performance issues some console players experienced while running through Wild Hunt. It seems clear that CD Projekt Red is utilizing all of its talents to make Blood and Wine a fitting end to its Witcher series."
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will release on May 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
