The Wholesome Direct will Showcase 75+ Indie Games this June

Do you like to play video games to escape the troubles of your day and relax? Are you on the hunt for games thatd be appropriate for your children? Maybe you just like a nice, wholesome video game. If thats your bag, then get ready for the Wholesome Direct, a game showcase dedicated to over 75 good-vibes indie games.

The event, taking place on June 12, is being organized by Wholesome Games, a group of game enthusiasts with an interest in happy, heartwarming, and otherwise good feeling games. Based on the Nintendo Direct style of presentation, the Wholesome Direct will be a prerecorded video, presented live, showcasing a variety of recent and upcoming indie games that they consider wholesome. This time, the event will be a part of the Guerilla Collective, an online games festival.

To give us an idea of what to expect, the Wholesome Games Twitter teased some games they plan on showing off. This includes

• Unpacking a Life
• Ooblets
• Moonglow Bay
• We Are OFK
• The Gecko Gods
• Paralives
• Bear and Breakfast (Were the most excited about this one)

Theyre claiming to be showing off more than 75 indie games. So odds are, there will be something for everyone a few times over.

The game industry is full of action and violence. Shooting, killing, rampaging. Dont get us wrong, Doom is one of our favorite shooters. But its nice to break away from the common genres in favor of something more happy and relaxing. Well definitely be tuning in to the Wholesome Direct, ourselves.
