As part of EVO, one of the biggest fighting game events of the year, Bandai Namco has announced some of the new characters coming up for Tekken 7, while also teasing that Negan, the antagonist from AMC's The Walking Dead, will be part of that roster.
The announcement was made after the Tekken 7 grand finals of EVO 2018. Game director Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray revealed that season 2 will include six new characters. The first two characters, Anna Williams and Lei Wulong, were shown off with a gameplay trailer, while Negan was teased with a small cinematic trailer at the end. The remaining three fighters remain unannounced.
Anna is a long-time Tekken veteran, having been with the franchise since the first game. The personal bodyguard of Kazuya Mishima, Anna is the sister of Nina Williams, another classic Tekken Character.
Lei Wulong has been around since Tekken 2. He alternates between tiger, crane, leopard, snake and dragon fighting styles to best suit his needs.
The season 2 pass has no official release date. But it's coming soon, according to Bandai Namco. Until then, Tekken 7 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
UPDATE: Negan has been confirmed for the roster. Look forward to it, peeps!
