I know, this isn't exactly about "The Song that Never Ends," but when hearing of "The Story Goes On," it's the first thought that pops into my head. An Early Access title due for launch on Thursday, June 11th, The Story Goes On contains adventure, action, and discovery amidst an endless maze titled The Odyssey.

Developed by Scarecrow Arts, based in Texas, The Story Goes on is the team's first game featuring an 8-bit style with Beat 'Em Up elements. This labyrinth changes constantly, so think before you leap. Here is the list of features to look forward to in this title:

Randomized Adventure

The labyrinth is an ever-changing beast. Once you leave a room, you may never return. Choose each direction carefully as you make your way through a new story.

Varied Items

"Not all the treasures of the maze belong to you, but if you are lucky, you may bump into an item or two on your adventure."

Intense Boss Battles

The Scar, a fierce band of thieves, owns the Odyssey. These thieves are capable of taking the form of a man, animal, or monster. To defeat each one is your only means of progression.

Otherworld Enemies

The creatures are definitely not of the human world. Many will stalk and attempt to kill you, so you best be on your toes.

Other features also included in Early Access are four playable characters with unique attributes and moves, four different worlds with randomly generated rooms, 30+ unique items to collect, a unique soundtrack, full controller support, and eight total bosses, unique to their world.

The Story Goes On remains on Early Access until the developers are "comfortable with the state of the game and the community's input." This could take at least two or three months.

The content that is expected to be within the full game?

There are plans to include an arcade mode with a leaderboard, a "newer" secret character, the second half of the storyline, additional worlds, the full soundtrack, double the amount of game items, performance upgrades, and more!

Again, The Story Goes On will release on Steam's Early Access on June 11th. If you want to take a peek below, look no further than below:
