What's the spookiest, scariest thing of all? It's not savings! That's right, the Steam Halloween sale has begun today and will be going until November 1. There is a long list of games both horror and action based fitting of the Halloween style.

Steam has always been infamous for their many sales events. Summer and Christmas are the most popular, with well-known titles receiving discounts between 40 and 90 percent off. These sales have given the Steam community the inside joke of having millions of games that they never played because of impulse bulk purchases from the various past sales events.

This event is a big one, odds are if you can think of a game that could even be somewhat considered Halloween centric, then it's on sale. Games like DOOM, Alien: Isolation, and Dying Light for as little as 20 dollars. Indie classics like Limbo can be found for as low as $1.50.

If you have been in the market for new games to play, then this is a great opportunity to utilize these discounts. You can see the various sales on the Steam Market, or via the Steam Website.

The most horrifying part of this week will be your bank account number!
