The Quake World Championships Start Today

The Quake World Championships have officially started today. Competitors from all around the world have started to compete in the high-definition, high-octane, brand-spanking new first-person shooter from Bethesda; Quake Champions.

Although Quake Champions doesn't have an official release date yet, players have been honing their skills in the closed beta's, and now, they'll compete for the share of a $1 million prize pool. Here is the schedule for the tournament, and all the information you'll need to watch some intense Quake gameplay. You can watch the competitions live on their Twitch page.

The top 32 Duelers from each region qualify for Regionals, to be played online.

Regional Finals, Duel and Sacrifice

The top 12 Duelers and the top 4 Sacrifice teams from each region qualify for the QuakeCon finals.

NA Regionals (Burbank, CA): August 5-6
QuakeCon Finals (Dallas, Texas)

The top 24 Duelers who qualified online and 8 Duelers who qualified at QuakeCon (BYOC) will make up the top 32 players in the world to compete in the QuakeCon Finals.

The top 8 Sacrifice teams in the world will compete in the QuakeCon Finals.
