The Persian Faction Raises Its Shamshirs in Swords & Soldiers II

The Persians are coming! The Persians are coming!

That's right.

We have originally seen Vikings and Demons pit against each other, but now The Persians have joined the fray in Ronimo's Swords & Soldiers II, a Wii U exclusive set for release sometime in Q2 of 2015.

The cutesy yet brutal 2D strategy game sounds very batty with bizarre, unexpected factions at war with each other - Vikings, Demons, and now Persians. To describe The Persians, they are a faction that instills a combination of magical and technological marvels on the battlefield. If you're curious about the abilities and roles of the little units within The Persian faction, here are a couple of examples:

Shamshir Soldier - Basic soldier that wields a magical shamshir that heals him as soon as he leaves combat.

Sand Witch - Mysterious woman who summons djinns to attack enemies and defend her.

And if you're curious about the spells are included with this faction:

Tiger Leap - Allows an ally to dash forward, which damages and stuns all enemies in the area.

Shield of Reflection - A shield that reflects enemy attacks. The name is enough of an explanation.

So, will Ronimo release new factions in the future for Swords & Soldiers II?

Let's hope so, because now I demand pirates and werewolves.
