It just goes to show that the corporate machine will never truly die. As long as there are resources, there will be people looking to capitalize on it. Introducing The Outer Worlds 2, a sequel to the dystopian space RPG.
The upcoming sequel was revealed during the Xbox Bethesda E3 showcase on Sunday. It did so with a rather tongue-in-cheek trailer, poking at many of the flaws and criticisms of early development game trailers.
We hear some jokes about presenting content that wont make it to production, and some quips about the generic nature of game trailers. They made sure to have a few jokes about long development time and unfinished ideas, keeping our expectations small.
The official trailer says that itll take place in a new solar system with a new crew. Anything beyond that will be revealed closer to when the game is done being made.
Were vaguely surprised by this reveal. When The Outer Worlds released in 2019, it was well-recieved, but often remarked as an over-hyped title that had a good idea, but didnt quite reach its potential. We werent expecting that it was well enough received to merit another title. But hey, weve been wrong before.
The Outer Worlds 2 will release at some point in the future on PC and Xbox.
