Over the past few years, VR has come quite a way. It's gone from a vectorized red nightmare to a fully immersive, visual experience. But what about the other senses? Well, South Park has the answer to that problem. But, just as you'd expect, it's not pretty. That is, unless you like the smell of farts. Warning: Butts Ahead.
Ummm, yay?
I spend a long time making sure this is real. It's even called the Nosulus Rift. This obvious parody of the Occulus Rift doesn't sound real, at all. And honestly, I'm not completely convinced. IGN reports that it's absolutely real and will make an appearance at Gamescom, and I have no real reason not to trust them. So there we go. Our first foray into into the future of virtual smells, and it's farts.
