A new trailer has emerged for Dragon Ball FighterZ at Jump Festa this year, and it packs a special punch, even in another language.

The trailer, made for Japan, begins with the monumental moment where [Dragon Ball Z Spoiler Warning] Krillin is killed by Kid Buu, pushing Goku into a rage-fueled level of power.[Spoilers over] This kickstarts a powerful musical tune known as We Were Angels, the ending theme back in the early 2000s, as intense scenes of combat begin. We catch snippets of cutscenes and gameplay as the music rages on, with characters talking over the vocalized backtrack occasionally.

The visual style has never been so perfect for a series; combine that with the nostalgic musical queue, and you get one hard-hitting trailer. It does more than just hit your nostalgia sensors - the snippets throughout confirm the inclusion of Hit, Beerus and Goku Black in his Rose Super Saiyan state.

The trailer doesn't explain very much in terms of lore this time around. To put it simply, androids are showing up to replace the fighters that they imitate, and Goku has to stop it.

It seems new characters are always revealed in pairs of 3, at least they have so far. Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 26 of next year or February 1 for Japan.
