The Medium is a Next Gen Horror Game by Layers of Fear Devs

Few studios do horror games like Bloober Team, and now they're back with another one. Introducing The Medium, a psychological horror game that bends between real life and the spirit world.

Revealed during the recent Inside Xbox Reveal Event, The Medium follows a young woman capable of seeing into the spirit realm. She travels to an abandoned hotel resort after being burdened by tragic visions, looking for answers. And to find them, she has to dive deep into both the resort's macabre history and the dark secrets of the spiritual plane.



To further reinforce the idea of moving through two different worlds, the game features a "duel" soundtrack concept, with music composed both by Bloober Team's Arkadiusz Reikowski and the critically acclaimed composer Akira Yamaoka, best known for their work on the Silent Hill series.

Bloober Team has quickly risen to fame as some of the best major studios for horror games. They're best known for Layers of Fear, the 2016 horror game about a painter losing his sanity while searching for inspiration. In the following years, they would go on to produce more titles, like Observer and Blair Witch.

The Medium will release on Xbox Series X and on PC at some point after the console releases this fall. For more information, visit the official website.
