Lost somewhere in the galaxy, and trying to find your way home. Fans of the underappreciated sci-fi classic, Farscape, are familiar with the concept. The new trailer, that debuted during E3, tells about a ship making an experimental jump from Earth. Of course, there were complications. Now the ship, and its crew, are lost in the void of a randomly generated galaxy. They have one goal: to get home.

The trailer's not subtle about it.

The parallels with Farscape don't end there. The mission now is to explore space and do everything possible to get home. This includes meeting a variety of different extraterrestrials, and not all of them are friendly. By making alliances with some and fleeing from others, players will fight to keep the ship and crew intact, searching for the next jump. The longer they push onward, the closer they get to home.

Brb, gotta binge the series real quick

Don't get me wrong, similarities to Farscape are good things. The story and emotion should make for interesting gameplay. The trailer has a somber note to it, which is welcome with the concept. Space is big and lonely, and the crew all have families waiting for them. Plus, the world has to learn what's waiting for them beyond the stars.
