Well, not long ago, many fans rejoiced over the fact that they were to finally see a release of the widely-anticipated title on October 25, 2016.
And fans, you'll have to wait a little longer. According to today's PlayStation Blog update:
"The Last Guardian development team is fast approaching major milestones in production and has made the tough decision to delay the release of The Last Guardian a few weeks. The Last Guardian will launch on December 6, 2016."
In all honesty, the new release date is not a big deal - it's only six weeks more, and it's separating itself from the upcoming big releases of certain shooters, gaining some breathing room in the process.
However, you must be curious about the main reason for the delay. It's still buggy:
"A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game's creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues."
Take all the time you need, team. Take all the time you need.
