The election for the American president is over. Donald Trump is our president elect. I stayed up past 5 am last night to make sure I soaked in as much election coverage as possible. And yes, I consumed about half a shelf of my liquor cabinet. But I didn't want to write up an article like that, nor did I want to while nursing a hangover. So here we are.
The only relevant point to bring up here is what this election means for video games. As much as we all hate to admit it, video games are often a target in the political scene. Plenty of scenes of violence and disgust are pinned on violent and crude video games. So it's important to keep an eye on how the future President of the United States of America feels about them.
No. No it isn't. That's not even remotely true.
I know what you're thinking, "but we have so many different studies absolutely disproving this entirely." To that, I say this. When has Donald Trump concerned himself with facts? You might also be thinking, "okay, but that tweet is from 4 years ago!" True, and that's where one of our hopes lies. Trump has shown himself to change his mind rapid fire about things even in the same day. Here's hoping he's changed his mind about this too. If not, then buckle up. One way or another, it's going to be a really long four years.
Take care of yourselves.
