Fallout is the next franchise to join the tabletop RPG craze. Entertainment publisher Modiphius has announced the next analog product in the Fallout universe.

Designed by James Sheahan, the Fallout tabletop RPG acts as an expansion to the already established miniature game Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. It will feature a more in-depth character creation system and three adventures that work as both a connecting story or as three separate "one-off" sessions. It also retains the faction-based archetype cards from the miniature game.

While technically an expansion to the miniature game, Modiphius was clear to state that the roleplaying game will function on its own as an independent game. The starter pack comes with download codes for digital copies of the rulebook, characters, weapon and archetype cards, and a playing mat, as well as a set of Wasteland Warfare dice.

The idea of a D&D with Fallout is by no means a new one. There are plenty of fan-made renditions available online. But this is the first official adaption to the system. If this doesn't tickle your fancy, maybe the D&D 5e campaign made by the writers of Dragon Age will.

The Fallout Tabletop RPG game will be available this summer.
