Just Cause 3 is out today, excitingly, and the game about grappling hooks, gratuitous explosions, and making your physics teacher weep bitter, hateful tears is ready for you to play. Early reviews are… meh? But Reddit certainly loves this game, as the freedom it affords with the toy box it offers rivals any other free-to-play sandbox game you can think of, and the gliding mechanic is pretty swell to boot.

Well to celebrate the game’s release, Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios hosted a competition where fans could make their own trailers for the game and submit them to the studio for a chance to win $5,000 worth of swag and prizes, in addition to honor of having their trailer become the official launch trailer for the game. 1,200 people submitted entries, but only one can win--and now we can finally see the winner with our own two eyes. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you--the explosion rap.

"The response to the Just Cause 3 Trailer Competition was overwhelming, with some 1200 entries showcasing the talent of our community. Choosing a winner was extremely hard, but the energy, humour and general quality of our chosen winner cemented him as the panel's favourite."

Now, I haven’t seen all 1200 video submissions, and I doubt I would have the patience to watch them all either, but from what I’ve seen--I think you guys made a good choice. Even if the word ‘explosion’ is kind of ruined for me now.

Just Cause 3 is out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's best to avoid the Xbox One version for now, though.
