When Elders Scrolls Online for the PC released on April 4th, 2014, it was expected that the console versions were to follow.
A year later, and still no release... yet. However, players can prepare for the closed beta of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, due for release tomorrow. Only those that have been invited via e-mail will be able to enter the closed beta (take note that some invites are in spam folders).
The beta will begin on April 23rd at 7 AM PST/ 10 AM EST and will last until April 27th at 7 AM PST/ 10 AM EST. Everything is accessible in the closed beta, but keep in mind that all beta characters will wiped post-beta.
There will be no NDA restrictions, meaning that you can stream the game or spread screenshots to your friends.
This limited beta test is not cross-console - and there are two megaservers - so unfortunately, you can't play with friends using a different console than yours. The total size of The Elder Scrolls Online closed beta is a measley 50 GB, with a 15 GB day one patch to sprinkle on top, so be prepared to spend a bit of time downloading the game.
Hopefully not the timespan of the closed beta.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will be available on June 9th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
