Dream Daddy, the dad dating simulator by YouTube team Game Grumps, is getting their own comic book series. And it's available now.
The game released last year and was quickly given acclaim for their creative writing, positive messages, and memorable style. The player takes the role of a single dad who has to balance spending time with their kid while meeting with the local single dads of the area.
The comic book series will be published by Oni Press in five installments, each focusing on a different dad. The first issue, Much Abird About Nothing, will focus on Craig Cahn, the "fitness dad," as he partners with the protagonist to visit their college reunion. This issue is written by Wendy Xu, with illustrations by Ryan Maniulit.
Much Abird About Nothing is available now as a digital book, as well as physical. Both versions can be found on the Oni Press website, with the digital version available on ComiXology, Google Play, iTunes, Amazon Kindle, and Steam.
The second issue will shift to Damien, the "goth dad," releasing on September 26. The third will be about Mat, the "cool dad," releasing on October 24. The fourth will be about Brian and Joseph, The "rival dad" and "cool dad" respectively, releasing on November 21. Finally, it concludes with an issue about Hugo, the "teacher dad" on December 19.
