The Discord Store has Launched as a Public Beta

Do you remember last August when Discord announced that they're making their own game store? The chat service has returned with an update on that venture. As of today, the Discord Store has entered a public beta, with 23 games available. Five of these games launching exclusively.

Before now, the Store beta was limited to Canada, with approximately 50,000 participating users. They were able to purchase popular indie titles such as Dead Cells and Hollow Knight. The international beta adds five more games to the market, all of which are exclusives to the platform. The "First on Discord" selection is as follows.

• At Sundown
• Bad North
• King of the Hat
• Minion Masters
• Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption

In order to integrate their existing services into the store more fluidly, Discord is also introducing a second tier to Turbo, their premium account option. Usually, Turbo costs $5 a month, offering various chat related perks to the user. Now, they can also opt in for the $10 a month option, which grants the user access to a library of games from the Discord Store.

With all of this, Discord also releases their game launcher, a feature previously promised to their users. Aside from games purchased in the Discord Store, the launcher can also import and launch games from other launchers.
