The Bombastic Bag Man Comes to Insomniac's Spider-Man

A new update has come to Insomniac's hit action RPG, Spider-Man. And with it, one of the silliest spider suits yet: the Bombastic Bag-Man suit.

Wearing a striking combo of blue and black looks good, but all anyone can focus on is the paper bag precariously placed over Peter Parker's head. That's the magic of this classic throwback outfit.

The outfit originally was called the "spare fantastic four outfit." as you may have guessed, this was because it originally came from a comic book in 1984, where Spider-Man teams up with the Fantastic Four regarding a symbiote problem. Unfortunately, they only had a spare suit to work with and no mask.



Since then, it's become a comedic callback, appearing in six different games before now as a special alternate outfit.

The last time we were given new costumes in the 2018 games, it was with a fair amount of controversy. They added the classic suit from the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man films (the one with Toby Maguire) after the studio received an influx of harassment to do so by internet goers.

The same update will also include Spider-Man's Future Foundation suit, which is a separate, black and white suit that also was born through a Fantastic Four partnership.

Spider-Man is available now on the PlayStation 4.
