The Behemoth, the indie studio behind Battleblock Theatre and Castle Crashers, has revealed the return of a classic flash game with Alien Hominid Invasion!

Revealed in a Twitter post, Alien Hominid Invasion is a reinvention of Alien Hominid HD, which is a high-quality reconstruction of the original Flash browser game. Invasion will feature new mechanics, gameplay aspects, and more.

"Grab hold of something, and dont get abducted Game 5 is coming.

We're excited to share our next game in development, Alien Hominid Invasion! This reinvention of Alien Hominid HD will feature new gameplay, progression, mechanics, & more. Stay tuned for more details at PAX."

The Twitter post comes with a short reveal video. In it, a security guard spots the titular alien and sounds the alarm in panic.

More details, including a "try it first" demo will be available as PAX East and EGX Rezzed taking place on February 27 in Boston, MA, and on March  27 in London, UK respectively.

Alien Hominid is one of Behemoth's first breakthrough titles. It was originally a Flash browser game released on Newgrounds in 2002. It would quickly grow in popularity, being released on game consoles over the next few years. Its success would help provide funding and exposure for the studio, allowing them to produce more games that follow a similar "classic gameplay and quirky humor" style.

More information will be revealed in the near future. Stay tuned.
