The Arcade Hotel Brings the R&R of Gaming to Amsterdam

There's no losing in this hotel.

Here's something incredibly neat: Europe has opened its first hotel that's dedicated to gamers. There are plenty of reasons to visit Amsterdam: it's one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world, is close to a spring tulip haven, offers ALL OF THE WAFFLES, and so much more. Now it's boasting the Arcade Hotel, and it's absolutely perfect for the passionate gamer, currently scoring a 4.8 Stars out of 5 (out of six reviews on Facebook).

All included in the pricing, each room is equipped with a retro console and plenty of games, and in the lobby bar you'll find plenty of handhelds to sink your teeth into.

And for those that are a bit more than a gamer (i.e. the comic enthusiast), there's a neat little comic book library. According to VG 24/7, owner Daniel Salmanovich states in response to the change that he's, "remodeling this hotel into a special place for people who love gaming. I wanted to create a place where travelers and gamers feel like they are staying at a friend's home."

This means that there are a lot of social events offered at the hotel as well. During the opening, there was a gin tasting, street food, and a gaming tournament. And if you're all tuckered out after the fun and games, then you can sleep in late, because check out isn't until 1 PM (abnormal for just about anywhere, I reckon). Not only that, but you can't beat unlimited free coffee and loose tea. And a free "welcome drink."

Also, did I mention waffles earlier? Because yeah, waffles. I mean the hotel will also bring you a great breakfast stuffed with cheese, organic jams, Italian hams, fresh fruits, whole grain bread and honey, but we all know you're going there for gaming and waffles. Not only that, but this hotel will be specializing in--you guessed it--Canadian cuisine. As in, one of my favorite dishes: poutine!

Sound like something you'd be into? If you're a gamer that's into the retro, then it definitely should catch your interest. You can check out the official Facebook page here. And the official website? No problem, we have that covered for you too.
