Literally that's all we really have at the moment is an announcement trailer. I don't think many people doubted there was going to be another Tekken, however to have Tekken 7 announced before Tekken X Street Fighter is ever officially unveiled (after being announced close to 4 years ago) is somewhat worrisome.
We don't know what systems Tekken 7 will be on or what new gameplay mechanics Harada have in mind... but a more detailed reveal will be coming at next week's San Diego Comic Con. Interesting enough that's where Tekken x Street Fighter was announced in 2010. This entry in the series is supposedly the final showdown between Kazuya and Heihachi, whom have been throwing each other into volcanoes and the like since the first game on the original Playstation. The game will also introduce Kazumi, who is Kazuya's mother... although it is not sure how she'll play or fit in the game.
Interesting side note from the IGN leak- the game is running on Unreal Engine 4 and Harada basically confirms the game is being designed for nex-gen systems.
The announcement happened live on stage at EVO 2014, the world's largest fighting game tournament. Harada managed to have a sense of humor about the announcement getting leaked earlier that morning by IGN, and also teased that this wasn't the game he originally was going to announce on stage. At the beginning of the year Harada had said he's working on three fighting games this year, so there's still some surprise announcements to come... perhaps that mysterious Pokemon fighting game- Pokken?.
Other bits of news out of E3 include Mortal Kombat X will indeed have DLC characters and a guest fighter, Killer Instinct Season 2 will have the time traveling amazon Maya from KI 2, and Ultra Street Fighter 4 has an update in the works that will add edition select to online play as well as fix some bugs. Street Fighter series producer Yoshinori Ono took the stage (after Harada accused him of leaking Tekken 7) and assured fans that Capcom will be announcing a new fighting game soon... perhaps also at San Diego Comic Con or at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
