Focus Home Interactive's thrilling sci-fi RPG, The Technomancer, has a new trailer. Released just in time to generate hype for its E3 booth, the video highlights the personality of the Mars setting mixed with pulse-pounding action. Of course, all of this happens behind Frijid Pink's rendition of "House of the Rising Sun." In The Technomancer, water, specifically its scarity, fuels the political and violent conflict in the game. Players will take control of a powerful Technomancer who carries the future of Mars on burdened shoulders.
Surprisingly cathartic
The Technomancer has some exciting possibilities. Focusing on rpg elements, multiple skill trees, and versatile quest objectives, the game is centered around choices. Which skill tree will you invest in? How will you reach your goals: through violence, diplomacy, or something trickier? If that doesn't provide enough choice, then the craftable equipment system most definitely will.
Maybe I'll vacation to Venus instead
More details are sure to follow as E3 gets under way. The Technomancer is set for a June 28 release, so all that's left is to tease and hype up the game. For RPG and sci-fi fans counting down the days to Mass Effect: Andromeda, perhaps The Technomancer will keep you satisfied for a bit longer.
