Tamagotchi Returns in the Form of Mini Keychains

The nostalgia... It calls!

Nostalgia, in the form of Tamagotchi anyway, can slap you as silly as your grandmother after you curse. And it has slapped many '90s kids - hard.

Including myself.

Yes, indeed, Tamagotchi has made a comeback in the form of a miniature keychain, and it is currently available for preorder on Amazon.

According to the official Amazon description, the nostalgia is at full power with this tiny toy:

"Tamagotchi is celebrating its 20th anniverary with a relaunch of the original digital pet we all learned to love and take care of!
Included in this set is a blue with pink Tamagotchi electronic game on a chain to take with you everywhere you go!
Feed, clean up, and take care of your digital Pal just like the original Tamagotchi game!
Tamagotchi was originally designed for children 8 years of age or older, but these new Tamagotchi toys are for people of all ages looking to travel back in time to their childhood or explore Tamagotchi for the first time!
Grab your new Tamagotchi today while supplies last to help celebrate Tamagotchi's 20th Anniversary!"

And it is taking every ounce of my willpower not to jump on the bandwagon and adopt one of these babies.

Unfortunately, it appears as if the Blue and Pink combination Tamagotchi is available at a reasonable price: $19.99. The Blue, Orange, Pink, White, and Yellow colors are far more expensive, sitting at a whopping $129.99. Nevertheless, you can preorder one, though they will not land in your hands until November 5, 2017.

Now, let's try not to kill it this time, eh?
