With her trusty pair of elbow blades and the winds to guide her, Talim, the Last Priestess of the Winds, will return for SoulCalibur VI.

Her inclusion is confirmed by a reveal trailer by Bandai Namco Entertainment America. She is the 14th fighter to be confirmed for the base roster, alongside a number of returning fighters and two new participants, Geralt of Rivia and Grøh.

Known as the Last Priestess of the Winds, Talim uses the wind to guide her in both travel and combat. She wields Syi Salika and Loka Luha, a pair of elbow blades used in ceremonial dances by the wind worshipping folk of southeast Asia. Her movement and fighting style are designed around birds, having fast, close horizontal strikes and extra mobility. While fast, her low damage output makes her a difficult character to master, as players need to rely on tricks, gimmicks and stuns to apply the damage they need to make a difference.

Talim first appeared in SoulCalibur II in 2002. Since then, she's appeared in SoulCalibur III, IV, and Broken Destiny. Her absence in SoulCalibur V was a common complaint by the community.

SoulCalibur VI launches October 19, 2018, for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
