Vaulting may just be the most important feature that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is lacking. If you've ever been unable to jump over a wall, fence, or gate, and had to go around a long way due to you're incapable physical prowess, then you most likely got very excited when vaulting was announced at E3 this year.
Recently, a video surfaced titled "Vaulting WIP #2" which shows how the vaulting system works in its current state. The video seems to be have been captured in some kind of testing environment at Bluehole Studios, and it shows how the vaulting works with different shapes and heights of obstacles.
It's definitely taking a while for them to release vaulting, and as we desperately wait, we basically have no information about when it will officially launch. The main reason it's taking so long is that the map of PUBG was built without even the idea of a vaulting system ever being implemented, according to Brendan Greene.
The WIP video seems fairly promising, but until they issue a statement about a release date, we'll just have to walk around obstacles for now.
