The man named Hsieh had come to the Cafe in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on January 6 and wasn't discovered until the 8th at around 10am by an employee of the Cafe. He was then rushed to the hospital but was pronnouneced dead from cardiac failure.
According to the Taipei Times, the man was a regular customer who would play for days on end. The police and Cafe employee were quoted as saying;
When tired, he would sleep face down on the table or doze off slumped in his chair.
That is why we were not aware of his condition in the beginning.
The precinct police chief said that cold temperatures and over-exhaustion from the long hours spent playing games were the likely cause of death.
More patrols will be conducted to remind residents about the dangers of prolonged sitting and game-playing, said Weng Chun-neng.
So what's your limit to how long you can game?
I have gone a up to 6 hours or so but by that time I have to get up and walk away.
