Teli Games just launched their first pre-alpha footage showing the in-game carnage of the first ever side scrolling shooter Symbol of Destruction.

The game brings you back to the days of arcade style shooters such as Galaga, Space InvadersAsteroids and Tyrian. Of course this has a bit of a different feel as you can destroy various parts of the environment your in to move forward through the game and even smash your enemies with falling rocks that you focus your fire on with the developer even saying as much;

"Shoot the enemy planet in pieces and use the fragments to attack the enemy and to overcome challenges!"

Of course what's a good game without a good trailer showing off the core mechanics, a number of enemies and an end game boss!

To follow the game's progress, be sure to like/follow the Symbol of Destruction Facebook and Twitter pages.
