Pokemon Sun and Moon has only recently seen the light of day. However, players everywhere have already beaten it at least once. So by now, stories of the more impressive wins are starting to make their way across the internet. I'm talking about things like beating the game with a team of underachievers. Specifically Magikarp. Specifically just one Magikarp.

I made it to the hall of fame in Pokémon Sun and Moon just using a Magikarp I caught! Im having sushi for dinner tonight!

That is a translation from a tweet by @Nakano_Official. The Japanese player posted screencaps of the insanity, including an instance where Magikarp was on the brink of death. The player had to incorporate a few tricky moves to get it to work. This included purposefully running out of PP so that Magikarp would have to use struggle (the only way it could hurt ghosts). And, when all else failed, there was the waiting game of keeping Magikarp healed up while the opponents wasted all of their PP and Struggled themselves to death. And don't forget that Sun and Moon introduced the power of Z-Splash! Needless to say, it was a close call.
