The 1990's were arguably the golden era for so many things. I'm sure many video game enthusiasts wish they could go back in time and experience that 90's video game nostalgia one more time. Thankfully, you don't have to wait for a time machine to be invented, you just have to wait for the release of Strafe. Originally planned for release in March, Strafe has been delayed until May, and I think that's probably a good sign. With so many games releasing with game breaking bugs and lack of content, it's usually a good sign when a game is delayed. Hopefully, this is one of those cases.

If you're a fan of old-school shooters, then Strafe is probably the safest buy you could ever make in the last decade. In Strafe,  enemies projectiles are slow, while your characters movement speed is extremely fast, allowing you to maneuver through fireballs like a 90's god. The blood of your enemies acts as a means of navigation in each level since blood will paint your surroundings, leaving you something of a trail. While your enemies blood can be useful, it can also be destructive to your environment since some enemies spew corrosive acid instead of blood upon death.

Killing an enemy in the wrong fashion could ruin your chances of taking specific paths. If you're still not convinced, just watch the trailer. Not only is it full of 90's nostalgia, but it's also probably funniest video game trailer I've ever seen. Strafe definitely won't melt our faces like in the trailer, at least I hope not, but I think we can look forward to some incredibly fast paced and intense gameplay. Just don't let your younger siblings play, just in case. Strafe safe people.

Strafe will launch on 9th May for PS4, PC, and Mac.
