Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure Goes Multiplatform this April

Want a cute and blocky dodgeball experience set in the '70s? Well, Game Swing and Curve Digital may satiate your desires by soon bringing you Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This re-imagining of the classic sports game will be hitting the PC April 1, PlayStation 4 April 5, and Xbox One April 8. Featuring twin-stick controls and a vibrant, colorful art style, this game aims to mix quick-paced dodgeball with off-court hazards, random events, and boss battles. Stikbold! is oriented for four players and invites tactics, twitch reactions, and teamwork.

In fact, this game originally won the award "Most Fun" at the Nordic Game Jam. Post-game jam, the team fleshed out the framework, which soon birthed into Stikbold!

According to Jacob Herold, CEO and founder of Game Swing:

Whether it's been at PAX or GDC, everyone who's had the opportunity to play early builds of Stikbold! has enjoy its accessibility, playability and sense of humor, comparing it to old school multiplayer games like Bomberman. As for the story? Well, Bjorn and Jerome set out to restore glory to their team after a rival team has been kidnapped by a man dressed in a devil outfit. Along the way, they encounter weird and wonderful characters. There are five arenas with multiple dodgeball sessions, guaranteeing to last three hours, though you can take on multiple playthroughs for more goodies if you're craving for more.
