Sometimes, news reports don't have to be ground breaking, but instead reflect on the smaller aspects of life, even within the gaming industry. Have you ever thought to yourself as you stare at your (more than likely huge) library of Steam games, "Maybe I should complete all of these games, but how long would that take?"

Well, there is finally an answer for that.

Recently, a new website has been published, called SteamLeft. SteamLeft is a fun little site that estimates the amount of gameplay hours it would take to complete your Steam library. SteamLeft actually accumulates the data from the site "How Long to Beat" (which is a site that indicates the amount of gameplay hours a game has) to determine the average of a Steam ID's library.

When I input my Steam information, I couldn't help but feel defeated at the amount of hours it would take me to beat my own library. The answer?

2491 continuous hours of gameplay.

Or, 103 days, 19 hours, and 4 minutes.

Ouch.

According to the additional information at the bottom of the page, I could "drive from Alaska to the tip of South America 5 times," "travel to the moon 24 times," "Watch the whole series of Breaking Bad 60 times," in the same amount of time it would take for me to complete all of my games in the library.

Maybe the numbers will actually make people realize how many games they are buying from bundles and sales and cut down a bit. I know I will!

So, what are your statistics? How many hours will it take to beat your Steam library?
