Remember Starpoint Gemini Warlords? It's a space sim that blends role-playing with strategy to create a sci-fi experience capable of blowing your mind. Well, maybe if it wasn't in early access it would be.

Anyway, Little Green Men Games and Iceberg Interactive have together announced several major events relating to the progress of Starpoint Gemini Warlords for the PC:

For one, Steam Workshop is now available for the Early Access title, bringing full modding support to users.

Secondly, Update v.0700 has been released, which includes many fixes, additions, perk changes, tweaks, modding, and a Gladiatrix Arena.

Alongside the launch of the Workshop, the entire Starpoint Gemini franchise is on sale from now until November 21. For a quick tease, the original Starpoint Gemini is 80 percent off, whereas Starpoint Gemini Warlords is 30 percent cheaper.

Finally, mod site ModDB.com has launched a contest exclusively for Starpoint Gemini Warlords. The prizes range from a $5,000 cash prize to Roccat-sponsored gear. The contest will last until December 22, 2016.

On the topic of the workshop, CEO of Little Green Men Games, Mario Mihokovic, states:

"Integration of Workshop and support tools, tutorials and videos is very important for the development of our games. Starpoint Gemini Warlords is, in great part, a community drive project, and as such we wanted to deliver the means for our community members to start making a direct personal impact on the game as soon as possible. We'll be thrilled to see awesome creations from all around the world and will be here to support modders in any way possible."

Starpoint Gemini Warlords is currently on sale for $17.49 on Steam.
