Today, Steam has finally introduced an in-house streaming service that will allow you to hook up two computers on the same network and you can theoretically take your gaming anywhere in the house. It’s a fairly straightforward system: you take a high-end PC, connect it to a laptop or a weaker PC or a TV or any other compatible hardware, then while the high-end PC does all the processing and heavy lifting the content is streamed to the weaker system, allowing high-quality games to be played on a low-quality system.
It’s still in beta, but it’s perfectly functional and just the thing for people looking to play something like Crysis or Dark Souls 2 on the toilet. You can check out Steam’s information graphic right here.
