No Man's Sky has been available on Steam since August 12th. On Sunday, August 28th, the Steam page was updating saying that "The standard Steam refund policy applies to No Man's Sky. There are no special exemptions available. Click here for more detail on the Steam refund policy." Due to a massive amount of people requesting refunds on their No Man's Sky purchases, Steam is being forced to straighten things out and make sure people know that they have to follow the policies put into place. By this point, the world is already aware that No Man's Sky is a huge let down. People have been outraged and disappointed by this game since release due to delays, lies, bugs, and a lack of multiplayer, but many refund claims have been granted for different situations.
After playing for more than 2 hours, people reported glitches in the game that hindered progress, promises of features that weren't included, and an overall feeling of being cheated out of $60. Steam has refunded different users, but they've made this statement to let people know that it won't be happening anymore. If you want a refund, you can get one, but you have to follow the rules. No more special treatment, and honestly with all of the dislike that this game has gotten, I don't think many more people will be buying No Man's Sky for quite some time anyway.
