First Walmart, now this.

Avalanche Studio's popular open-world adventure game, Just Cause, has a new iteration in the works. Instead of a formal announcement, this information was released by an accidental promo on Steam.

If you signed into Steam Thursday night, one of the news promos was for Just Cause 4. The image shows the game title, protagonist Rico Rodriguez in a jungle setting, and "Pre-Purchase Now." If you were to click the button for additional information, you'd simply be directed to the Steam marketplace. This implies that there isn't a Steam page for the game just yet.

Neither Publisher Square Enix nor developer Avalanche Studio has made an official reveal for the title, but this isn't the first time we've heard about it, either. We first had reason to suspect another Just Cause game when Walmart accidentally listed a number of unheard-of titles, including Just Cause 2. Rage 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey were also listed in the games, which a day later would be announced by their respective IP owners. Little else is known about the game at this time.

Rage 2 is also being developed by Avalanche Studio, in partnership with id Software.
