Today brings us a casual gamer's dream. Staxel, the voxel-based farming life game was released on Steam Early Access today.

Staxel takes the graphical styling of games like Trove and Cubeworld and combines it with the gameplay of Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon. The player takes the form of a cubic character, planting crops and tending to livestock on their new farm. Why not become friends with villagers and decorate your house while you're at it?

It also features multiplayer support. In the modern age of the internet, the ability to play casual games with friends is a rather appealing feature. This has been in demand for many games of a similar genre, and while Stardew Valley has plans to add the feature, they have yet to do so.

If you're interested in trying Staxel, it can be purchased on Steam and Humble Bundle for $19.99. You can learn more about the game on their website. If you own a copy of Starbound on Steam, you've likely also received a coupon for 25% off of the game.
