A lot of the time, game releases come and go, and with time flying by, it can be hard to realize that a game released a year ago was a game... that released a year ago. That said, Starpoint Gemini 2 is celebrating its one year launch anniversary, and to celebrate, developer Little Green Men Games is offering a week-long Special Promotion of a 70% discount on ALL Starpoint Gemini Games--meaning, Starpoint Gemini, Starpoint Gemini 2, and Starpoint Gemini 2: Secrets of Aethera (Starpoint Gemini 2: Origins is actually a free DLC pack).

Additionally, just this week, the developer launched a new patch filled with fixes and optimizations. Furthermore, if you're planning on hopping on this anniversary sale, then be prepared to receive November's DLC, titled "Titans." And to top all of that, Starpoint Gemini Warlords is still on its way to a Q4 2015 Steam Early Access release.

If you want to know more about these three games, you can find out below:

Starpoint Gemini 2 ($10.49) is a tactical space simulator with complex RPG development mechanics, set two years after the second Gemini war, but the situation hasn't eased. You are in a small band of freedom fighters named Gemini League, lost without its leaders. During this time, the Empire has taken advantage of the re-opened Starpoint to occupy the Gemini sector...

Of course, the Empire has crushed all opposition, but they halted their armada and focused on fortifying Starpoint. Rumors since have been abound that something fiercer than the Empire is arriving through the T-gate...

As for the key features, what you can look forward to is a complex but user-friendly RPG system that is coupled with dynamic real-time 3D combat, plenty of exploration, utilization of the T-gate, wormhole and riftways, encounters with fifty diver factions, special revocable licenses, hiring of mercenary captains, random missions, over 70 unique and fully upgradeable ships, direct ship controls, and NVIDIA PhysX technology.

The upcoming Starpoint Gemini 2 Titans DLC will include 3 new Titan class ships, 3 new chain-quests, three major factions battling their own Titans, and a new set of hero characters to recruit.

And finally, for those foaming at the mouth over Starpoint Gemini Warlords:

The game will include construction of a personal space station--your HQ, if you will--that will help you conduct research, build ships, assemble autonomous fleets, and more. Additionally, the conquering of territories will be offered--you can reign over unclaimed territory by battling minor factions, or you can conquer the entire Gemini sector by challenging familiar Gemini foes.

You can also conduct research on simple weapon enhancements, obtain the knowledge to construct a titan class behemoth, boost effectiveness of non-combat fleets, or purchase "weaker" equipment, ship systems, enhancements, and ships.

There will also be a far larger game world that offers a system of skill classes, attributed skills and perk progression that is revamped and rebalanced. Players can also take to either the storyline or can just cruise space with free-roam.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords also will introduce the industry standard in modern western RPGs: a full branching dialogue scheme. And if you're curious about the technical additions, then look forward to the projection mapping, deferred shading, physically-based rendering, and realistic physics. Unfortunately, Warlords also will be x64 system only, just to keep in mind.

Before getting ahead of yourselves, it's best to just focus on Starpoint Gemini 2. If this is up your alley and interested in a big discount, then you can head on over to the official Steam page here.
